Corporate Care Awards

For the past 14 years, Professional Management Review.africa has presented its Corporate Care awards, also referred to as the emPower or Corporate Social Investment awards, to those companies or NGOs that deserve special recognition for their good corporate citizenship.

PMR's awards, including the Diamond, Golden and Silver Arrows, are well known and highly sought after. The Corporate Care awards have an equal weight in the market, identifying companies that are not only in business for business-sake, but also "do the right things", caring for their staff, their communities and for South Africa.

The Corporate Care awards include seven trophy categories:
  • Social upliftment
  • Primary healthcare (Aids and other basic health issues)
  • Job creation and training
  • Environment care
  • Black economic empowerment
  • War against criminals/crime
  • Corporate governance

The top deserving companies in each of the categories receive floating trophies, a framed award and the chance to have full media and marketing exposure of the good deeds they have done for the broader community.

Each of these seven categories is further divided into industry sectors, where certificates are presented to the top deserving organizations in each sector. Where it is possible, size of company is taken into consideration for the awards. A separate recognition is given to deserving organizations, individuals and NGOs.
